Meet The Doctors

DR. SHAWN HANSON

Tarpon Springs Location

Dr. Hanson grew up in Wisconsin, where he loved to compete in sports. He went to Waunakee High School, where he played on the varsity soccer team for 3 years and the varsity wrestling team for 4 years, earning him All-State status. Along with the All-State status, came the “All-State” injuries, which introduced him to the benefit of chiropractic care for athletes.

Dr. Hanson is now the clinic director at Hands-On Health Care and Chiropractic, where he utilizes evidence-based care and the latest cutting-edge therapies to treat the whole person, not just their complaints. His goal is to get you back to doing what you love and then prevent the problem from happening again.

Dr. Hanson went on to study Biology at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He continued to wrestle and treat with the team’s chiropractor, beginning a mentorship that resulted in Dr. Hanson deciding to pursue a career in Chiropractic.

Dr. Hanson graduated with Honors (Magna Cum Laude) from Palmer College of Chiropractic, while being an active member of multiple advanced technique clubs. He has also received additional training in Flexion-Distraction Technique, SOT Technique, Activator Technique, and Pettibon Technique.

Dr. Shawn, as most patients call him, lives and works in Tarpon Springs. He is active in multiple professional associations, as well as a volunteer for many local and community groups. When he is not in the office, you can find him boating on Lake Tarpon, spending time with his dogs or cheering on the Wisconsin Badgers during college football season.

Dr. Darrian Davis

Dr. Darrian Davis

Dr. Darrian Davis grew up in Connecticut, where he spent over 14 years playing football, baseball and basketball. While battling injuries of his own as an athlete, his passion for sports rehabilitation and helping others began and was later confirmed once he started working with patients as a Chiropractic Assistant. 

He decided to move to Florida to attend the University of Tampa, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Allied Health – Physical Therapy. He later obtained his Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine at National University of Health Sciences. Dr. Davis expanded his scope of expertise by becoming a Board Certified Acupuncturist and Full Body Active Release Technique Provider . He has become an expert in soft tissue and extremity injuries by utilizing the latest modalities including TECAR Winback Therapy, Class IV Laser and Shockwave Therapy.

When Dr Davis is not helping patients, you can find him on the golf course perfecting his skills or enjoying some good quality time with his family. He also volunteers for the Special Olympics and as a Youth Coach. Like all of our doctors here at Hands-On, Dr. Davis is also a big fan of animals, he owns two pups of his own.

Dr. Zackery Wynn

New Port Richey Location

Dr. Zackery Wynn is a native Floridian, born and raised in Hudson, Florida. As a former high school and college quarterback at Western Michigan University, he saw first-hand the positive effects of chiropractic care. After graduating college in 2014, he completed an internship at Dr. Shawn Hanson’s chiropractic office. During this time, Dr. Zack developed a tremendous passion for helping patients on their healing journey, which was the driving force that led him to pursue a career in Chiropractic.

Dr. Zack embraces a full spine/ whole body approach to healing, and implements a combination of chiropractic adjustments, Physiotherapy, and the latest technology in the field. He has received extensive training in spinal decompression, flexion –distraction, extremity treatments, as well as a multitude of adjusting techniques. He focuses on bringing energy and optimism to every aspect of his life and strives to pass that on to his patients.

Dr. Zack studied Exercise Physiology at Western Michigan University and graduated with honors (Cum Laude). Once he decided to pursue becoming a chiropractor, he moved back to sunny Florida to Palmer College of Chiropractic. In 2017, he graduated with his Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine (Cum Laude) and successfully gained National Board of Chiropractic Certified Licensure.

Dr. Zack and his wife, Kaylle enjoy a quiet Florida lifestyle and enjoy traveling when they can. He likes to maintain his athletic presence through golf and beach sports. Dr. Zack has a tremendous soft spot for animals, so he is hoping sometime in the future to learn chiropractic care for animals as well.
